Buying Cars

Buying cars is easy if you can remain subjective. Car ownership is expensive so if you can keep the number of registered vehicles to a minimum the more money you will be save. Once you have narrowed down your choices to 2 cars then you need to research,

  • Where is the vehicle made ?

  • Is it super seeded or about to be ?

  • What is the re-sale value ?

  • How much and how frequent are major services ?
  • Is the car mechanically reliable ?
USED CARS:

Before you even make an offer on a car you must do a REVS CHECK. A REVS CHECK will tell you if the vehicle has any ENCUMBRANCES, is STOLEN or a WREAK \ WRITE OFF and if there is money owing on the vehicle for N.S.W. registered vehicles. http://www.revs.nsw.gov.au/

After the car has passed the REVS CHECK get a PRE-PURCHASE INSPECTION from a trusted Mechanic. This check should take one hour and cost $100. This will be $100 well spent and ask your mechanics opinion on the car and the condition of the car.

Now it is down to price. Most advertised car prices are negotiable by 10%. Just make sure the starting price is reasonable. The best way to check price is checking CARSALES.COM.AU . This website is LINKED to this BLOG in the VALUATIONS column. If your Mechanic finds work needed to done to the vehicle such as BRAKES or TIMING BELT you can negotiate the repairs off the advertised price, this will more than cover the $100 spent on the PRE-PURCHASE INSPECTION.

1969 Dodge Charger Daytona 440 Magnum - Muscle Car For Sale

1969 Dodge Charger Daytona 440 Magnum - Muscle Car For Sale (Click Here)

Description: Here is a crown jewel of any collection: A restored, clean, numbers matching, all original sheetmetal Dodge Charger Daytona. A product of the 1960's, the Daytona stands head and shoulders up on nearly every other car built in its time in stature, looks and desirability. “Blue chip” fails to account for the Daytona: This is a rock star wrapped in a spaceship—it's a superstar wherever it goes.

We have a full visual inspection report from Galen Govier for this car. This isn't the $30 registry entry: This is where he shows up, spends a full day inspecting and verifying the car. He confirmed the casting numbers on the motor and transmission are original to the car by date code and VIN stamp. He also verified that the body, fender tag and VIN tag are original and belong together. All of this is not only documented in his appraisal and written report, but every important part of the car was photographed, printed out and delivered in a three ring binder. This was done at a cost of more than $1000, and we took his suggestions as a mandate. You'll see, comparing the small items he found were incorrect, to what the car looks like now, that we were able to remedy nearly every shortcoming before the photo shoot.

The NASCAR aero war equivalent of the shot heard ‘round the world, the Charger 500 was the secret weapon Dodge would use to topple Ford’s slipperier
Torino. Testing proved the car to be 3-4mph faster than the standard car, and on banked ovals that’s a ton. The car was better, but so was Ford’s new Talladega, so Dodge went back to the drawing boards, and the aero war was on. 500’s Were a force on short and medium length tracks, and Dodge factory Daytona teams used them along with the wing cars throughout the ’69 season.

Outside you’ll find V2 Hemi Orange Poly in its correct shade, laid down expertly and rubbed out to a glass smooth finish. Like many other Chrysler colors, there’s a luminescent quality thanks to very fine gold metal flake throughout, and it’s dazzling. Inferior paint jobs and older restorations are more often dull and without the gold glow, and the difference is amazing. The stainless trim (including the 500/Daytona specific A pillar and rear window moldings) are polished to a better-than-new shine. The white stripe on the tail, and the correct, original road wheels and Goodyear reproduction F70x14 redlines give the car a very classy, sleek and unified look.

The interior has a nice mix of new reproduction and original parts. New Legendary seat covers on the rebuilt seats, a new headliner and new carpeting augment the original, un-cracked dash pad and excellent original door pads and panels. New sill plates add shine among with new door handles and re-chromed armrest bases. The original center console shifter wears a new (and correct for Daytonas) fluted shift knob, the gauges were refaced with parts from Performance Car Graphics while new BE/A dash bezels run from one end to the other. We added a very cool restored wood grain sport steering wheel as a finishing touch. All switches and buttons work as they should, and the car's a pleasure to drive with the smooth, light power steering and reassuring brakes working with the high torque mill up front.

“Dodge went back to the drawing board” is a nice way to say that the Charger 500 was a flop on the superspeedways. Since Chrysler and Ford were investing heavily in the “win on Sunday, sell on Monday” policy, this was unacceptable. Paraphrasing what was said to the aero team: “I don't care what it looks like—build me a car that'll beat those Fords!” A new wind cutting nose was added up front, but the real improvement over the 500 was the rear stabilizer. Not only did it provide hundreds of pounds of down force, the vertical sections provided immense stability in the corners by acting much as a rudder on a boat: If the car got out of shape, the wind resistance on the sides would “blow” the car straight again. This was a new field of exploration for a car company, culminating in wind tunnel testing full scale models in Lockheed Martin's wind tunnel in
North Carolina and the development of air resistance test equipment. Plymouth also benefited greatly from the research by studying what did and did not work for Dodge, such as the elimination of the grille on the leading edge of the nose, the angle of attack of the nose's profile and the shape and size of the wing (Super Bird wing uprights are tilted inward slightly, have a greater rake and have a far greater surface area.) Daytonas were still marginally faster, however, as the Charger body is more aerodynamic, and the Daytona has a superior fastback backlight compared to the Plymouth.

Open the trunk to confirm the trunk lid is the original, with the front edge bent down 90 degrees and not folded over (a common restoration mistake.) The original Charger-specific jack is in there along with a reproduction front scissors jack. A brand new F70x14 redline Goodyear, identical to the tires on the car, is in here as well.

The trunk floor is original and clean, and is covered by a new mat. Look underneath to find floor pans that were completely stripped and painted black during the restoration, along with new exhaust, fuel and brake systems. This is a car which drives as well as it looks.

Hundreds of miles have rolled up on the odometer since the car was completed, so all is fresh, yet completely sorted. The same applies to the numbers matching engine and transmission, which were gone through completely and work flawlessly. The engine sits in a restored bay with all of its original parts, as well as all mechanicals other than wear items. That’s the original wiper motor, air cleaner, 4618S carb, exhaust manifolds and more. There’s a reproduction battery, new wire set, new reproduction heater and radiator hoses along with the original 054 radiator and new battery cables. There's an electronic ignition system and a reproduction ballast resistor on the firewall connected to a reproduction engine wiring harness. The car starts and runs as if it was new, shifts well and tracks straight.

In the collector car market the Daytona needs no introduction: It's the millionaire playboy in the center of attention. It's the platinum bar on top of a pile of tarnished silver coins. Few cars are as popular as they are polarizing, and that simply adds to the car's cache. Beautiful in execution, numbers matching, original sheet metal, fully inspected, Galen documented and running flawlessly this car is a topper in nearly any collection on earth.

1972 Alfa Romeo Montreal - Classic Car For Sale

1972 Alfa Romeo Montreal - Classic Car For Sale (Click Here)

Description:

As the only car manufacturer, Alfa Romeo was at the world exhibition in Montreal in 1967, invited to give their bids on the theme 'The ultimate dream car'. There seems to be that the car looks like a concept car, it's no wonder. This is exactly what it is. With Alfa Romeo Montreal went directly after their high-profile competitors, Ferrari Dino 246 GT and Citroen Maserati SM, the wall.

Designed created such an awareness that the Alfa so compelled to produce the car and it thus became the first European concept car that went into production. Before Montreal'en hit the streets 3 years after in 1970, it was necessary to find an engine which was better suited to Bertone groundbreaking design. A supercar could not be sold with the modest 4-cylinder engine Giulia, who was in urgent plop in the show car.

The answer lay right under the nose of Alfa Romeo, which had just gone into sports car racing with their tremendous Tipo 33 sports prototypes. To Tipo 33 stradale and sports car races, had the head of the Auto Delta, the former Ferrari engineer Carlo Chiti designed a V8 with 4 overhead camshafts, producing up to 350 hp. Montreal'en elected to Alpha changing bore and stroke to 80 mm and 64.5 mm and was thus a strong overkvadratisk engine of 2.6 liters.

Otherwise, only a few things changed in 33 racing engine. Apart from changing the cam profiles, smaller valves and compression ratio lowered from 10.7:1 to 9.0:1, was still racing V8 with 90 degree cylinder angle, entirely in aluminum and with hemispheric combustion chambers. It had tørsumpsmøring and Spica injection fed by 2 Bosch fuel pumps.

A masterpiece of an engine, which technically was quite on a par with the finest things from Ferrari and Maserati, only more robust. Contributed to the high durability of more expensive cases were retained from the Tipo 33 engine: Forged steel crankshaft, vibration absorbing stålplejlstænger in special tungsten alloy and pistons with lightweight aluminum. A carefully designed with extremely long intake funnels stored in air filter box, was optimized to give maximum ram effect. This means that 90% of this thoroughbred engine torque is present as low as 2700 rpm. It gave an incredibly smooth, flexible engine, despite its racing origin was very sociable and could be driven by all.

The gearbox selected Alfa Romeo, to purchase from ZF. A 5-speed box with a very long first gear in 'dog-leg' to-ventre-down position and the 2nd - 5th gear laid out in the normal H. A good choice for the gearboxes have proved almost impossible to destroy. Rear axle with slip came also from ZF.

The list of technical sophistication and detail in this car is almost endless. From the advanced ignition systems to the very well designed, comfortable seats. One thing is worth highlighting: As one of the most radical new solutions to the time that Alfa Romeo chose to give Montreal'en a comprehensive anti-corrosion protection. After production at Bertone small production line that became the raw Bodies Tires and Rims driven to a new advanced factory in Grugliasco, where they only received a zinc phosphate treatment and was then completely submerged in a series elektroforesebade before they got the final painting. The result was a super effective against rust, as Alfa was one of the time and as far removed from the rust some problems connecting with Alfa Romeo.

It all sounds expensive, so it was expensive. A buyer could get both a Jaguar E-type convertible AND a Jaguar E-type coupe home and stand in the garage for the price of one
Montreal. It is almost a miracle that this car was ever built and today, stands a Montreal remains as an icon, put together by unusually refined and sophisticated technique.

This copy is in Marrone metallizzata with bright fabric interior. The original Spica mechanical injection systems have been replaced by an electronic Bosch Jetronic. A very sensible and effective up-grade, which makes maintenance and servicing easier. The original Spica injection system included if you want the car returned to the original. Montre Alen here could use a lighter repairs / cosmetic restoration. Among other things paintwork is not the best anymore, but as the pictures hopefully show car is absolutely presentable and to use and enjoy as is.

1972 Citroen SM 2.7 V6 - Classic Car For Sale

1972 Citroen SM 2.7 V6 - Classic Car For Sale (Click Here)

Description:

The Citroën SM was a technological tour de force, like its contemporaries Concorde. 60,000 feet, Mach 2, cocktails. Almost incomprehensible. You can see for themselves a bunch of French engineers wearing nylon stockings and pointy shoes. Ah bien! Now we make damn 'something the world has never seen before. And they did. SM is so different, so superior, so arrogant, so French. No one - absolutely no other cars could offer the same combination of comfort, performance and sharp driving dynamics, as the exquisite SM and no other car at the Geneva Motor Show in March 1970, were so bizarrely radical. A Space Oddity.

Since the early 60s Citroën had worked on 'Project S' - a sporty version of the revolutionary DS. The sedate engine of DS, had this, otherwise fine car's weakness since its introduction. The acquisition of the threatened closure Maserati in 1968, gave one stroke Citroën full access to the Italian engine technology that was needed to produce a true high-class Grand Tourer. Giulio Alfieri Maserati was among few months to deliver an engine.

Alfieri made a little jewel. Tipo C114 engine has 4 overhead, chain-driven camshafts. Engine block of aluminum is only 33 centimeters long! It is at 2.7 liters and something so unusual that a 90-degree V6. It gives the car a very distinctive motor sound at idle, which grows so well known to howl at high revs, typical of Italian thoroughbred motors with roots in racing sport. This compact power plant gave the car a top speed of 220 km / h. Not the absolute fastest time, but very quickly. It is impressive that era, however, was the car's ability to maintain 200 km / h, hour after hour, without either the driver or the car was at least tired.

A refined version of the hydropneumatic suspension of the DS was a incomparable comfort feature. It was also greatly contributed to a superb short braking distance, which still impresses today. And with a quick grip could be switched from low cutting motorway flight for maximum ground clearance, so the considerate SM owner could climb a French poodle, without the tripping of Mademoiselle Chanel suit ever noticed that Fi-Fi just was overflown by an intergalactic spaceship.

The most remarkable technical innovation in the SM, however, was the car's speed-dependent power steering. Something new at the time and only now gaining ground in modern cars. Servo provides great help in parking maneuvers and high drag at high speed. Steering with only 2 revolutions in the oval steering wheel from stop to stop, delivers razor sharp indstyring cornering. So this is two Ground Control Major Tom: Very powerful brakes operated with a sensitive rubber ball, which makes it off the brake pedal, a special suspension that causes the car to sit a little back, not forward, and 'Sneeze and Crash' management, it makes a retraining in basic driving techniques imperative, in Space Odyssey 'back to the future'.

The 6 separate front: 2 dipped-beam headlamps, 2 remote lighting and cornering lamps 2, which deals with the front wheels and the vibration ground state instead of the field opposite, all hidden behind a Plexiglas enclosure, is to give the car a futuristic appearance. The sumptuous design is followed right to the door of an equally opulent Art Deco inspired cabin.

Citroën Sport Maserati was a sophisticated car. And there is no reason to try to explain away that it is still. This should not deter the slightly more experienced classic or Citroën enthusiast from a closer acquaintance. An SM is far better than its undeserved reputation as unreliable, difficult and complicated. The engine has 2 weak points which are, or should be rectified at an SM still running today. Kædestrammeren on primary forkæde replaced with a stronger type to handle vibration at low revs in 90 degree V6 engine. Oliepumpens shaft was weak in the first engines and switched to a stronger type. Both modifications were already made in the late cohorts. The hydro-pneumatic suspension is in fact entitled robust and is known from recent models of a any Citroen mechanic. Together with a relatively sensible part situation and a major international forum of SM enthusiasts, an SM can keep running without the need for convergence between the car's model designation and the owner's sexual preferences. The important thing is to get a car that has not stood still in many years, the hydraulics can not suffer. An SM should be used not to grow together.

It is precisely the case with this copy. It belonged to a retired, German lawyer living in southern
Germany and the house in Sealand. As his favorite car travel among a large collection of classic, back down the regular route Munich - Naestved, exactly as it was built for: With high hurry! The car is urestaureret but Maintenance and intact. It means that everything in the car works perfectly, even air conditioning and the electric clock. And it is unusual.

1992 Lancia Delta HF Integrale Evo I Classic Car For Sale

1992 Lancia Delta HF Integrale Evo I - Classic Car For Sale (Click Here)

Description:

Lancia since the legendary Fulvia in the 60s, has been at the top of rally sport. Since the FIA in 1985 rejected plans for a group S regulations and even contended that the violent group B class on the ground that the cars with their 5-600 hp turbocharged engines, simply was too fast and thus dangerous, it was a serious setback for the rally sport . Here was the Lancia again among the pioneering automakers because they already had their Delta HF 4x4 on the drawing board, designed with lessons learned from the violent S4 rally car.

With Delta HF 4x4 Asked Lancia is not satisfied with a simple four-wheel drive. Drive the front wheels go through a freestyle-differential, while a
Ferguson viscous central differential, distribute forces between front and rear axles in the ratio 56/44. The most advanced component, however, sits between the rear wheels: A Tors (Torque Sensing) differential, which can also be found at McLaren's Formula 1 cars. The result of all these 3 differentials in this composition, is an 'intelligent' 4x4 transmission system that requires no input of the driver, while ensuring maximum drag in any situation.

The result of this advanced system in a very compact and relatively light car with a turbocharged engine that was crushing its competitors and thus was a new Lancia legend was born. The compact family sedan, with a relatively reliable appearance, was in fact a supercar. The list of technical sophistication, ranging from the delicious, 16-valve turbocharged engine of 2 liters and 210 horsepower, the highly effective Brembo brakes are long on Evo 1 display.

With a 0-100 km / h acceleration in 5.7 seconds and some tremendous driving characteristics, it is even here, 20 years after investing in a serious supercar if you have to make even the slightest hope to keep this little bomb on winding roads.

The Saints' Grail 'is now coveted collectors' items and in
Italy they have a special status which would accrue solely to Ferrari. The car here is from a workshop in Italy, which can only be described as the world's leading specialist Integrale. It has been completely disassembled and reassembled with new parts throughout the engine, gearbox, differentials, brakes and chassis. From new it has traveled 89,000 kilometers and after the thorough renovation, only the few hundred kilometer test required to optimally adjust everything in again. The entire coach has come out which was re-oplakeret in the original Rosso and original leather interior in good condition reinstalled in the car. The price is for the car nysynet and including tax. Description:

In the mid-60s stood Ferrari with a problem that only Fiat's massive production capacity could solve. Ferrari wanted to participate in the new Formula 2 class and the already developed Dino V6 engine was shelved. The new F2 rules required, however, that the engine was manufactured annually for at least 500 copies and presented in a corresponding number of cars. At that time Ferrari had neither the capacity to produce as many engines and no finances to produce and sell as many sports cars. After negotiations with the incoming Fiat boss Gianni Agnelli, Fiat went with to produce engines and even develop a sports car in the prestige class to the engine.

The outcome of Fiat's effort was the very beautiful Pininfarina designed the Dino Spider and the stylish coupe designed by the young Giugiaro at Bertone. Although the cars were developed in record time and with the use of multiple components from other Fiat cars as Fiat's engineers managed to construct a couple of very successful sports cars.

With the model change to 2400 model, which was built in 2398 specimens from April 1969 to June 1972, came as many improvements over the previous 2000 model, there was almost a new car. The most important was the replacement of the rigid rear axle to the much more advanced bagvogn from the big Fiat 130 saloon, with independent rear suspension, brakes, gearbox and differential with rafters.

So are we, except maybe the elegant curves, the promotion of this car's biggest attraction. The above quadratic Ferrari V6 engine with 4 overhead camshafts. This advanced engine is a true fireworks of melody and gusto. The shift from 2000 to 2400 engine also meant that the engine block was now cast iron and not aluminum. The 2-liter aluminum engine was a complex case.

It was originally designed as a 1.5 liter racing engine and was, according to the manufacturer Lampredi itself, already stressed to the limit in 2 liter version. Lampredi convinced management that it was better to start almost from scratch with 2.4 liter version and they gave permission to. 2.4 engine had more power, it was smoother, quieter, better lubricated and in general much more reliable. Since it was installed in Dino coupe'en, filled it's job perfectly.

The 180 horses in the crisp engine comes up to about 8,000 rpm with a sound that reveals exactly what it is, a real racing engine with roots in Formula 2nd

We have downloaded this fine Dino in MEDA north of Milan. The car is not only beautiful and original condition throughout. It is also extremely well in all functions. All the little things, despite all good things can tease a little at a car that has crossed 35 years of age is done. So it's just turning the key and let the crisp engine jump start. we sell the nysynet including Danish tax and ready for indregistring.

1972 Alfa Romeo Giulia 1300 Super - Classic Car For Sale (Click Here)

Description:

Probably invented the term VW GTI and it struck solid concept, but their car came at least 15 years of Alfa Romeo. Since Giulia'en was presented as the successor to the popular Giulietta in 1962 was for its time a bilteknisk titbit. It is the epitome of everything that we in the last 30 years has been understood by a GTI car. A compact family car with extra-powerful engine, efficient braking and not least the excellent driving characteristics. Everything packed in a discreet appearance, as you must know to know that here is a car that can give owners of pure sports cars sweat.

Mechanical Alfa Romeo chose to build on the well-functioning platform that was started with Giulietta'en already in 1953, but in almost all areas had improved the design. 5-speed gearbox was now standard, was reinforced rear axle and rear suspension equally. Disc brakes all round was standard, as it was at the last Giulietta.

The early models gave 92 bhp, but the grant of 1600 the engine grew steadily throughout the model period to 112 hp. (89 hp in 1300 version as here). Compared to contemporary cars in the class were Giulia'en a sports car in the family dress - just compare with a Ford Anglia, Opel Kadett and VW 1300th Besides that it was technically sophisticated, Alpha had the first of a series model made use of a wind tunnel in the development of the body. Immediately you would ikkke believe that the angular bodywork was particularly wind smoothly, but in fact the car has a cw coefficient of just 0.32 - the same as a Porsche 911 or the much licked and 25 years later Audi 80th Not many cars in the early '60s was just near that level and it could be seen at top speed - 180 km / h was 45 years ago, even very quickly for a family car with a relatively small engine size.

Giulia'en quickly became the preferred model for the Polizia and Carabinieri, and criminals were up very fast cars to run away (but managed a team of crazy Englishmen to run from them in 3 Mini Coopers in the cult movie 'The Italian Job') . Giulia'en stood at the top of wish list of the young successful leader and could bring him and his family with full holiday luggage from large cities, along autostradaen the bathing areas of Lido di Jesolo and Forte Dei Marmi - with 160 km hours all the way!

This beautiful Giulia Super hjemtog us from Pisa in May 2007. It has lived most of his life in the dry, Italian climate as evidenced by the car's condition. The engine is upgraded to a 2 liter. Immediately before it was imported it was repainted in the original silver-gray metallic color - AR728 Grigio Medio metallico. The interior of the car is original - Maremma wild boar tex - and also in a position can not be expected better from a car of this vintage. Ie no holes, wear or seams that are gone. The original rubber mats are also throughout both behind and in the boot. By returning to Denmark were the original chassis paint works. factory. untouched, or rather, very dry. . Before it was compulsory undercarriage treatment, all the casings taken from the doors to find a small collection of dry olive leaves in each dørkammer. After thorough vacuuming and cleaning with wire brush could be sent to the car underbody treatment.

Besides the preventive rust protection, there have been some sensible upgrades on the car, which corresponds to the crisp 2-liter engine. Modification include:

1970 Plymouth Roadrunner 440 6 Pack - Classic Car For Sale

1970 Plymouth Roadrunner 440 6 Pack - Classic Car For Sale (Click Here)

Description:

Looking for a long-distance cruiser, but it's gotta be a numbers-matching six pack? Those don't come along frequently—they're usually loaded up with big axles and tough-riding equipment. Ma Mopar sure did bolt together a few odd ones, though, and this one’s pretty far out there! Take a hot new '70 Road Runner, give it the 440 six pack engine, high impact paint and an Air Grabber hood, but make sure there's a set of 3.23's out back, disc brakes and power steering...and definitely don't forget the “air foam” bench seat! This is a real dual-personality jobber!

Looking over the ORIGINAL Chrysler Corporation Broadcast sheet, there are a couple codes that are unusual for those of us below the Great White North: Y07 Canadian order and Y89 new car pre-service, Windsor, ON. Adding in code Y22 corporate lease car—corporate executive clarifies things a lot...this was most likely a traveling district manager's car! It's not like a six pack with 3.23's won't get going in a hurry but it was the most economical gear available on the Road Runner! Perfect for the busy executive on the move!

Here’s are the highlights from the build sheet:

RM23: Plymouth Belvedere Road Runner, two door hardtop

V0A: 440 390HP 3-2BBL 8 CYL, 1970, Lynch Road, Detroit MI, USA final assembly

E87: 440 cid 3x2 barrel V8 (High Performance) 390hp

D32: Heavy Duty Automatic Transmission

FY1: Lemon Twist Exterior Color

H2X9: Trim - High, Bench seat, Black

X9: Black Upper Door Frame Paint

B24: Build Date: November 24, 1969

A04: Basic Group

B41: Disc Brakes

B51: Power Brakes

C65: Air Foam Bench Seat

D53: 3.23 Ratio 8 ¾ Axle, Open Differential

G33: LH Remote Racing Mirror

J45: Hood Tie Down Pins

L31: Hood Mounted Turn Signals

M21: Roof drip rail moldings

M81: Front Bumper Guards

M83: Rear Bumper Guards

N41: Dual Exhaust

N85: Tachometer

N96: Air Grabber Hood

R11: Radio Solid State AM (2 Watts)

R31 Rear Speaker

S15 Hemi Suspension

S77 Power Steering

U62: F60-15 Polyglas Tires

V8X: Tail Stripe, Black

W21: Rallye Wheels

Y07: Build to Canadian Specs

Oftentimes, Chrysler and other companies would load cars up with a mishmash of their new options to show what’s available to order, even if the car’s total equipment package seems to make no sense! A six pack car, with no exhaust tips, the basic 22” radiator, an open diff, hood pins but no performance hood treatment...this car's certifiable! There were so many choices Mopar offered, and after looking at so many cars, we're completely drawn to odd combinations above all else! Pull up at a car show with this car, find a couple Mopar “experts” and watch their eyes bug out of their heads when they scan the fender tag and build sheet!

So enough about the paperwork: How’s the car? Deep gloss Lemon Twist yellow paint coats the straight body and looks good from every angle. The grille is near NOS and the bumpers are re-chromed. All of the small chrome pieces such as the door handles are new, and the stainless trim was given a high-quality polish job. You'll see the performance hood treatment, dust trails and exhaust tips added to the car—can you blame us for wanting a flashier Beeper??? BFGoodrich Radial T/A’s, 225/70/15 front and 275/60/15 rear, wrap rallye wheels equipped with new trim rings and center caps. This is a car that turns heads!

Inside you’ll find new seat covers front and rear from Legendary, and you'll see the much sportier buckets-and-console set has taken up residence. If you're a purist, though, we have the original bench seats and door panel set in excellent condition. There's a new ACC carpet, new sill plates, a new package tray, a very nice, un-cracked dash pad, new door panels, new window cranks and inside door handles. Whew! The gauges all work and are in great shape. I'm sure our Chrysler district rep would approve!

Scan underneath and find clean sheet metal covered in protective undercoating. The 8 ¾ rear with its 3.23 gears (and an added Sure Grip) does its job without complaint, taking power from the tight automatic transmission. A brand new Accurate Exhaust Products system and new chrome tips poking out from below the rear bumper not only looks great but sounds nice and throaty. The brakes are new as is the suspension. There’s nothing overdone here—this is a car that can and is meant to be driven! Open the trunk to find a spare tire, the complete jack assembly and a new trunk mat. This is a complete car!

Pop the hood and find the ORIGINAL numbers matching 440 six pack motor, well detailed and bolted to the ORIGINAL transmission. Take a guess as to how many original V code Mopars still have their entire factory drive trains—we haven’t seen many! Fresh Hemi Orange paint covers the mill, while the exhaust manifolds are coated with Eastwood high temp compound. The air cleaner’s the correct one and it covers correct, date coded carburetors. Also in there is a re-cored radiator and a new group 27 “red cap” battery. New radiator hoses, Mopar heater hoses, Corbin clamps throughout, a new engine wiring harness and electronic ignition are also there for your perusal. Freshly tuned the car’s a runner, and the Six Pack looks awesome when the hood’s popped!

Ready for a documented, numbers matching Road Runner that you can actually drive? Collecting is all about having rare and unusual pieces—they don’t come too much more rare than this one! Priced right and ready for 20 more years of showing and cruising, you won’t find a cooler 1970 V code car any time soon!

1990 Lamborghini Countach 25th Anniversary - Classic Car For Sale

1990 Lamborghini Countach 25th Anniversary - Classic Car For Sale (Click Here)

Description:

The 25th Anniversary, or Anniversario in Italian, was the last and most potent Countach made. 627 examples were produced between 1988 and 1990. This last-of-line model is largely based on the Quattrovalvole 5000S, incorporating its 48 Valve 455BHP engine. Taking the 5000S further, the Anniversary has new redesigned aerodynamics for cooling and downforce. Additionally, new brake ducts are incorporated into the rear sills & front dam. The redesigned front and rear kevlar hoods keep to the agressive duct theme as does the optional rear wing. More luxuries such as electric windows and power seats came as standard options. Over 500 points differed from the previous model.

The featured car is one of the latest 25th Anniversaries built (chassis 12004) in 1990, it is one of the very few cars factory fitted with a fuel injection. This is a very low mileage and stunningly beautiful black body on black hide example which has covered a mere 9100km (5700 miles). The mechanicals, body and interior are pristine, consistent with such a low mileage. The car needs nothing and is ready to be enjoyed. The chassis number is 12004 and the car was manufactured in 1990. This is a very rare opportunity to acquire a collectible newish 25th Anniversary Countach, certainly the most enjoyable Countach produced.

Dustin Hoffman's quote in the 1967 film 'The Graduate': "Mrs Robinson, you're trying to seduce me... Aren't you?" could now easily be transferred to this Alfa Romeo Duetto Spider which seduced many Italian sportscar enthusiasts after her prominent appearance in 'The Graduate' film. The numerous road scenes where Dustin Hoffman drives his Duetto Spider with beautiful background music from Simon & Garfunkel gave this Alfa Romeo an instant cult-car status.

My Alfa Romeo Duetto Spider is exactly the same version and color as the one featuring in 'The Graduate'.

Nowadays collectors agree that the early pointed tail version (coda longa) was the purest Battista Pininfarina design from the succesive Alfa Romeo Spider variants he made.

This Duetto Spider in stock is the basic 1300 GT Junior variant but benefits nevertheless from all the typical Alfa Romeo refinements available on all models of that period: 90 HP twin overhead cam all alloy 4 cylinder, fed by twin Weber carburettors coupled to a 5 speed gearbox.

Completely restored approx. 5 years ago in Germany by a specialist classic car restorer, this Spider Duetto passed every year without any problems the rather severe German TUV test. Hardly driven though, this Duetto Spider is inside-out still in perfectly sound and clean condition.

I personally used this Alfa Romeo this summer as a holliday convertible and can assure any prospective buyer that 'la vita è bella' at the steering wheel of this typical Italian sportscar.

Description:

Lincoln Continental MKIII Cabrio BJ 1958 model year

Engine: 430 cu = 7l; 375 SAE HP

Gearbox: 3-step automatic, column-mounted shifter

Configuration: full kitting-up (genuine leather interior, master door locking system, electric window, steering linkage with servo-mechanism and servo-actuated brake…)

The Lincoln model of the year 1958 is the greatest US car that has ever been created! It could beat the competitors from Cadillac Convertible and Imoerial by offering higher volume, weight, cylinder capacity and horsepower. As if it was possible at all in the 50-s!

Moreover the styling is daring: tilting headlight position and tilting rear window that is electrically displaceable in the cabrio version of the car.

The offered car was brought new to Austria in 1958 and was used only for 5 years. It was put into a garage in 1963 due to an engine fault and was brought back to life only in 2002. It underwent an expensive restoration in the next 4 years that was finished not long ago.

The whole mechanics from the exhaust pipe to the cooler was renewed. The bumper was coated with chromium 3 times. All the carpets and the awning were renewed. The body has no rust at all, it was covered with original thermoplastic. The interior is still original, it was only refreshed.

This Continental is for sure the best that you could find. Highly elegant colour combination, black from outside and black/crème inside, makes the extravagant car even more impressive.

House and (new) car - the end of the walk by cathie.
The walk is a circle or loop that leads through the park where the river fork is. We bought the house in May 2003. A neighbor mentioned that it is a Sear's kithouse, which is something I would love to investigate. It does have nice beveled windows on the first floor and as you can see it's not completely square-it has that piece that sticks out slightly, but I guess it could indeed be a Sear's house. If anyone see's this and happens to know where I could go for more info -let me know! The new car is a Honda civic - not a hybrid, just a new civic.
